Waterside Walk

Start at the river end of Jacobs Drive. Proceed along the concrete pathway past the RSL Club until you arrive at the Chris Creek bridge. Cross River Road and inspect the entrance to the canal system in Harbord St.

You have two choices either proceed along River Rd back towards the town, or return along the shared cycle / walking path to the RSL Club.

Having arrived at the RSL you can continue along the walkway for about one kilometre to the Badgee Bridge. You may return along the roadway to your starting point but there is a much smoother surface on the concrete track.

Swan Lake Outlet to the Sea

The Sussex Inletter Weekly newspaper dated 31st July 2013 published an article and photographs of the New Path constructed to the Beach at Swan Lake.

I am now a "frustrated beach walker" ! Because I have to use a "Wheelie Walker" to move outdoors, I have been unable to access the sand at our lovely ocean beaches. The steps and tracks to the beaches are not accessable for wheel chairs etc.

I decided to find out if I was included in the "MOST".

With the help of a friend and my trusty walker I was able to get to the entrance and enjoy the feel of the sand on my feet, the wind in my hair and the wonderful sounds of the ocean.
